Cops wonder about Police Interceptor SUVs disrupted as Ford manages manufacturing issue

The quality issues seem to be real, delays are even impacting the PIU.

Just at CWFleet and LASD Vehicle testing in Pomona CA This is a big issue for many agencies so Ford advised that over the past two weeks units have been released from CAP and more will following with weeks to come. Obviously they wont say what specifically is the hold up but they advised each PIU Hybrid is getting extra QC before it leaves.

Every aftermarket vendor had one and there were a few CA Agencies that already had some, LAPD has some.

At the Ride and Drive Ford had a line up all day to drive the PIU Hybrid and EcoBoost. Dodge had on average 10-12 people and GM had 5-6 on average. So that shows you the interest.
