92 Navajo 4WD won't come on

Hey folks,
I've been looking at the different threads on here, but haven't found anything quite like my problem:
• Nothing happens when I try to shift into 4WD. No lights, no transfer case engaging. Nothing.
• I checked the fuse under the hood.
• I kind of checked the wiring harness in the dash. (I can't place it, but I don't think it worked after having a new stereo put in.)

Any thoughts?

Have you checked/cleaned the shift motor? A high percentage of those who get "no response" from the 4wd system find problems with the shift motor.
