Return From Glamis Carnage Run 2008

mounty, is your car running start running bad after Glamis? im actually surprised how well the navajo still drives after the beating it got all weekend :p: can't wait till next time, cause every time i break something, i always try to upgrade it.

i don't think you need sway bar drop brackets for the front, just flip the sway bar so the curve points downward. thats how the bronco is and thats how i ran the navajo. worked fine.

It runs ok still, but i just feel bad that i bent up the coil bucket so quickly. And it makes lots of noises now

A few more i got.

These two are from when we were speeding down along one of the canals at about 65 mph. It took a little getting used to going that fast, being that the canal was only a few feet to the other side and about 6 feet below. At that speed some of the smaller bumps can shake the car around a lot.

And this is from the main road, showing how expansive glamis sand dunes are, they just go forever.

My favorite are the FSJ group pushing the J10s and so on...

Well of course, with enough modification it can. But front and rear leaf springs would be fun to try :p:

How do you plan on smogging it if you do this swap? If you have the 4.2 inline 6 you can bolt in a newer 4.0. It makes a great setup. We run in in Tracy's jeep and it is so much better the the old 4.2. You can reuse the radiator fan shroud motor mounts. Hook up 6 wires and it runs. If you reuse the old tranny you just have to weld in a spot in the bellhousing for crank positioning sensor.

Rj just add some more bracing to the stock buckets. Run a gusset from the bottom of the bucket up to the top on the side towards the front of the truck. Then run another gusset between shock and the coil. Between the two gussets added to the stock brackets it will be a ton stronger and alot cheaper.

Damn, we shoulda gone to the drags. I did see that white explorer around a couple times, but i also woulda liked to see that gold one and the bonzen productions tacoma.

And maybe what Rockranger suggested would be good for me and my buckets sometime soon.

We had to do something similar to some buckets on Gophers truck out at truck haven. I think it was in October. Not sure if there is a photo of it or not.

Well the smogging isn't an issue. I might be moving out of state and even if I don't I have an address I can use to register it ;). I am not sure about the 4.0 but I know I kinda like the idea of fuel injection. I might just trade the 327 for a newer v8 or a 5.0 from an ex. :D:eek:
