I have a 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer with almost 300k miles on it. It has started to make a weird noise when going back into 1st gear. It only happens when I get up to like 35mph+ and right before I stop when the car is down sifting into 1st there is this loud pop. It never happens when I put it in drive or when it is shifting up. Has anyone had this issue before?
