Debating getting rid of my Explorer :/

Interesting about the plug potentially being under the carpet. Can anyone confirm that? That would make it much easier to swap in a power seat and not have to mess with much.

It's easy to check. There should be a slit in the carpet behind the seat where the power wire would come out. Check to see if there's a connector in there.
 






Stay away from the Powertech 4.7 at all cost and this is coming from a Dodge guy. It was one of the worst engines to ever come out in the Dodges and Jeeps. It was unreliable and very sensitive to oil sludge build up. Even if you have records of absolutely perfect maintenance you are still getting a 50/50 shot. They finally fixed it in '08, but it made as much power as the 3.7 V6, used more gas, and required two different types of spark plugs per cylinder.
