Dual Batteries.... discuss

Anyone done this? How hard? Do I need:
Bigger Alternator?
Solenoids?
Tin Foil Hat?
An extra Explorer, just to keep on hand instead?

I did it for one reason -camping with my stereo crankin, with no worries of needing a jumpstart.

You need a continuous duty solenoid if you do it my way.
