Should I flush the tranny fluid after 1K miles on my rebuilt tranny? Or just leave it alone? A4LD

Thanks

Was it rebuilt because of a catastrophic failure (e.g. metal floating about and pieces in the pan?). As a general rule, in those cases the cooler and lines should be flushed prior to reinstallation, and the TC replaced if that were the case. If that protocol is followed, a flush after rebuild is unnecessary. If the rebuild was not related to a catastrophic failure and no metal particles were found, it similarly would be unnecessary.

So my answer is, it kinda depends, but probably not.

No it wasn't a catastrophic failure, just a straight rebuild with a new TC.
