I have a '96 Eddie Bauer Explorer with 161K. Recently, the A/C started giving me trouble by not coming on when pushing the Max A/C button -- other times it would come on. Now it doesn't come on at all. The air control panel is digital and the display is working, but nothing comes out of the front vents when ANY of the buttons are pushed. Also, the rear air does blow, although it is not blowing cold.
I tried replacing the relay, no fix. I read one thread somewhere that told me to take out the actuator and if the pin doesn't rotate it might be a bad actuator... so could it be the actuator?
Please help. I'm not ready to give this car up, but I can't put any more money into it.
