So my explorer hasnt been running in a few weeks, changed the starter only to figure out it is my alternator. Got it running so my buddy and i wanted to take it for a spin, but problem! Tranny wont shift out of park! Tried rocking it and still no avail! Help!

Check to make sure your brake lights are working, if the brake pedal switch goes bad it won't come out of park

I had your issue. Check your fuses by the drivers door. I can't remember which one.

Workaround. Keep your foot off the brake. Move the key to start, but don't start. Then move selector to neutral. Then start your ex.

So i got it started today. Brake lights dont work, wont shift out of park even with the battery unconnected. Also no interior lights, no turn signal, no hazards, no windshield wipers, no radio, no power mirrors. Im guessing i blew a fuse somewhere  guess ill pull all tomorrow and see if i did blow one
