Keyless Entry Code

I have a 2004 Explorer XLT, 4WD and third seat. I am the original owner but cannot find the card that shows the 5 digit keyless entry code. The owners manual states the code is on the Electronic Control Module (ECM). The ECM is located under the dash on the passenger's side, deeply buried in other "Stuff" and is not visible. I removed the defroster panel and also the glove compartment door to no avail. Other owners of Explorer XLTs have told me where their code was located and I checked each to no avail. I called Ford but they maintained they do not have the code, on record, and insist I must go to a dealer to retrieve the code from the ECM. They want $125 for this service. Seems hard to believe. Does anyone have this exact model and know where the code is located?
