Thought I'd register my rig. Bought her in 2008 65k miles on the clock for $18 grand, always been happy with her until I caught the modding bug (you *******s, yeah you know who you's are). So now I'm extremely happy and love my x and decided to post some pics in here.

This is when I first got her.

I've got a short clip of my exhaust. Not to flash as I only have a phone camera:)

Exhaust sounds good
I think mine may have a slightly deeper tone, but it could be the camera distorting the sounds.

Thanks Nate, I reckon your CAI probably gives you the deeper note. One day I might catch up to you mate! Merry Xmas and a Safe new year to you and your family.

I'll see if I can get a good video of my exhaust one day to post up, when I get my V8 in there...oh then my exhaust will sound awesome...

and

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

V8 baby Howl at the moon, 4.6 3v. I totally agree sir.Cheers:chug:

Just hooked up the interior LED's. The front dome was a piece of piss as I dont have the overhead console the rear dome cover was an absolute ******* and I couldnt remove it by sliding a screwdriver through the access slot. I did manage to gain access from the front of the cover where two square clips were holding on to the dome light body, and I didnt break it, yay.

Yer steering wheel is on the wrong side! Nice LEDS! That scoop for the "bonnet" is going to be tight!

Thanks Mate!! I dunno what it is with me and hood scoops (mid life crisis?!?) And I will have too get around to fixing that steering wheel one day hahaha:D Merry Xmas and a very happy new year, Mike!

Do you think your 11226 is really loud (in the cabin) and drones a lot?

Oh I almost forgot, give your 11226 muffler about 5000 miles, for you thats 8,046.72 KM and it'll quiet out. I have 4000 miles to go

2000 rpm and up theres a fair drone, I'd love the note to be like it is at 1200-1300 rpm all the time, nice and deep there. Ive probably got about 4300 miles to go(6920.170 klicks) before mine starts to mellow. The drone is not too bad at 1800rpm, my cruising revs. Overall I'm pretty happy.;)

Good to hear.

I too like it from 1200-1300 RPMs. Sometimes that drone is overwhelming especially since I drive about 2 miles all uphill at a constant 2000 RPM. On the freeway I can still hear that dang whining diff.
I think when I ditch my Ex, I'll buy a quieter muffler for it, and carry the 11226 over to my next Tacoma or FJ Cruiser.

Nice the new fj. Heres a couple of my old troopy bought for a grand spent a grand on her and sold her for $2200 3yrs later. It was a wicked off road rig but a pig on road. 2" lift, 275 75 16s and a bog standard 4.2 lt diesel. Good times tho'.

Does it have enough snap in reverse to set the hook on that rod? :D

Gave the scoop the first light coat of white. Also bunged it on for a quick mock up. Heres a couple of pics.

Scored some blue anodized mesh to put in the gap at the front of the scoop. It matches the new cool blue 'stang stripes I picked up.Old stripes and new stripe pic, I reckon the new stripes will be good for an extra 15-20 rwhp.

Old stripes off and residue cleaned up. Used two different residue cleaners, goof off and citrus clean solvent both worked well and a plastic paint scraper helped to get the bigger glue patches off. The citrus solvit is organic so I'll keep using that I reckon (F*****' HIPPY). So now Uma's ready for her new stripes (10" wide) then the hornet scoop, but thats another story.

lol!

If you wash with a grease removing dishsoap like 'Dawn' or whatever flavor you have over there, it will remove the orange cleaner as well as the wax that is on the truck to give you a smooth surface. Might claybar to remove whatever stuff in in the paint to give you a smooth surface for your stripes. Hit up with some denatured alcohol on a final wipedown (if you have some around) and you'll be fine. :)

Denatured- NOT Everclear... :D
