Winch Opinion Plz:

I was debating picking this winch up to mount to my front end. I could weld the mounting plate to the bumper frame and mount it there somehow---with some fabricating. It may only be used once or twice---just in case I get stuck alone in the woods. It says it will pull 3 tons rolling. I doubt I would ever get stuck bad enough to overtax it. For 100 bucks it must be better than a comealong.

If you got stuck in ANY form, I highly doubt that winch would have the gut to even budge you.

ideally you should get atleast a 8000 lb winch.

Yeah that won't pull a truck. I have one. I snapped the axle right out of it. That puppy FLEW apart. We used it for dragging logs up hills the tractor wasn't safe on. Not only that you didn't shop around. That a $40 winch.
