getting started redoing my brothers truck once again. this time we're using his pre-existing equipment for the most part, but we're going to go all out with a fiberglass enclosure for the whole cargo area, a screen in the dash (static mount glassed in) and a whole host of other little goodies.

here are some "before" pics

I don't know much about fiberglass so did you paint it green or is that the color of the fiberglass. Anyway it looks pretty neat so far.

That aint the Fiberglass, thats Cloth with Resin, and im guesing his Resin Mixture is Green.....

Can't wait to see how it turns out. Looks like your off to a good start.

expo always tends to use odd-colored materials for his jobs...

Expo: How much sanding do you do in that garage? There must be 1" of dust on everything.

i sand everything in the garage.

my resin is blue, my fleece was lime green.

next step is 5 layers or so of matting over the entire box.

i think we also decided to go with a larger amp as well. probably mtx 942.

adding this in between the other square shapes...

its just about the same size as the subs (withing 2%) so it will look like 3 squares in a row...

i like it! cant wait to see the end product

looks cool so far. can't wait to see it finished.

box should be about finished this weekend. I have a block of time for 7 hours to work on it tomorrow. after that it should just be real easy finish sanding left to go.

here it is after working 5 or 6 hours more today. Not quite as far along as i wanted to get.

it now has at least 8 layers of matting everywhre, and the other obvious changes shown.

Nice. Thats going to look awesome. :)

Not worried about the back window being broken into? or how about the glass rattle? i guess you have thought of these already but these are things i would be worried about. Sorry nice work also you are a pro.

if you see where the port is the primary force out of the box will be going right into the ceiling. this will make for better sq and more spl than rear firing in my experience in an suv and protect the window.

as for being broken into- we'll tint em as dark as my truck, but there isn't much else we can do. i wanted a second truck to use for a demo etc.
