I traded my old truck "81 Chevy Short Bed Lifted" for this, 1993 Xploder, its got a 3in b/l 31X10.50 All Terain KO's, and thats all it had when traded it... Since then ive done this to it, Superwinch Manual Hub conversion, lights on the roof, lights in the back, wired into the reverse lights, took the hitch off the back, and put hooks in place of it, had to replace the pass. door because i hit a tree on the trails, added a cd player, new front door panels, new rear drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, and axle seals. front rotors, and pads... Replaced the battery, and upper and lower intake gaskets, plugs, wires, new radius arm bushings, i know theres more but i cant think of it now lol... I also have a Superwinch X9 for sale, but no hits yet, so i may put it on my X

look at those lights on the REAR bumper. Very nice! The other day I was giving another tech at work a light check for state inspection and there were these two lights that wouldn't light up - which to any American would look like brake lights. They turned out to be "rear fog lights". Interesting - yeah it was a Volvo!

Yea i had these on the bumper, and i was pushing a buddys car, and one broke of, "broke the mount off" so i finally got creative and drilled through the case into the bumper, i was sick of being on the trails at night, and put it in reverse and cant see nething...
I took the orignal rev. bulbs out to increase the amps to the big lights im still waiting for night to see if the look good... I will take some pics 2night

i been lookin to do something similar..wut foggers were these and whered you find em?..any tips on installing them..especially how to wire them in?..thanks

i bought the lights from WalMart they come in a box of 2 and with chrome brush gaurds, but i broke one of mine, if you buy the same as mine, theres a screw at the bottom of them, to open them up, take the screw out and the light housing, and then you have the plastic caseing, i drilled a hole in the center of it, out the back, and drilled a hole in the bumper, and bolted them to the bumper, the wiring was the easy part, the way i did it is hard to explain without pics, but if u remove your tail light, on the bottom bulb, for the reverse is two wires, black, and black with a pink stripe, the black and pink one is your power wire for the reverse lights, it needs to be split off to the red or white wire on most lights, and the black wire on the lights needs to be grounded, i can post pics, to make it easier tomorrow...

awesome ill chek up on it tomorrow..and thats wut i figured i'd do..you said sumthin bout cuttin off the stock lights to get more power to the auxilary ones?..wut was that about..

here i drew a pic lol, not good but neways, theres a clip on both sides of the plug to remove the bulb, and plug from the harness, do that then pop out the rubber grommet at the bottom, and use a small flat screwdriver to pop out the 12vlt wire from the plug (blk/pnk) then shove your 12vlt wire for the aux lights through the grommet, and wrap it around the 12vlt rev. terminal, and push it back into the plug, and push the grommet back in...
I ran the 12vlt wire for each aux. light to each side's reverse light, then grounded the lights to the bumper... As for the orignal lights, you'll notice that powering up 4 lights at once dont look bright, so i just took the rev. bulbs out, so now when i put it in rev. the aux. lights come on only, heres a night shot, they light up about 30ft behind the truck...
Dont buy really high watt lights, cause remember your going ton be using the existing reverse wire, which isnt all that big, mine are 55w each, and the left aux. light is wired to the left rev. light, and the right aux. light is wired to the right rev. light

I like the lights as well. I've also want to look into rear fogs. Had a thread a while ago, but nothing came out of it. I'm speaking of bright red fogs, not that type. But those would definetly be nice when backing up! Also need a little polish on those wheels! ;)

Yea they were really coroded when i got the truck, and i used a scotch brite pad to clean em up, i gotta re-clear them, or something, but im gonna wait till i get bigger tires, cause then i will have to un-mount the current tires...

wut size are those foggers?..4in mayb?

could you detail a lil bit more about the process of removing the taillights..and re-wiring the reverse light hot wire to run the foggers only..im pretty sure that i read that someone suggested not usuing the stock revese lights with the rear fogs all wired off the same hot wire..do you suggest that too?
please

i jus got my foggers and i wunna do it with some experience help..
thanks a lot

wow those rear light are dang bright.....should be awesome for backing up on trails.

No kidding! Or for getting tailgaters off you at night.

got mine in..they look great and help me to see anything with my tint..lol ..i wired em in to the stock reverse hot wire and disconnected the stock reverse lights. thats about it..i used the same foggers as you and i bolt em on the bumper like you..i thought about frenching..and some other things..but i ended up going with this because it was the eaasiest way to line em all up for me

wiring lights like that is a bad idea

run a wire from the batt (with fuse inline)back to the lights, then use the reverse light wires to energize a relay to turn on the lights.

this is the way the lights should be connected.
