Hey everyone , i currently have a 97 explorer with 31x10.50's and no lift, but do have shakles in the making.
i know you have to have at least 1.5" wheel spacers just to be wider then the lug nuts.
but say if i had 1.5 all around that woudl be +3" totaly wider but will i incounter any rubbing issues?
or with the rear tires do you think they will hit the fender?
also where is a cheap place to get some?
any pros and cons?
im not doing any really serious offroading, just looking for a beefier look.

would 1 1/4" spacers work? i dont want to have to grind the studs down?

Why would you want to run spacers with 31x10.5s? The stock tires are 9" wide or so.. Putting spacers will only put more stress on the bearings. In my opinion your truck will look fine with 31s on stock wheels with no spacers.

well i have the tires on there right now and it still looks like it needs to be a bit wider.
or if i got those other kind of spacer that are just a plate that goes inbetween the rim and hub, there pretty cheap to,
but how much space do i have to pay with before i dont have any threads left to get the lug nut on?

or maybe i should say ####ital and throw the shackles on there.

I wouldnt run spacers. Save up some money for some new wheels with 4.00 back spacing..that will give it a little wider stance while being safer than wheel spacers. Also aftermarket wheels will completly change the look of your truck!

Hey thats a Great idea, is there a cheap place to get rims?
i was thinking of gettin new rims anyways.
how much wider would that make it?

i have such bad rear end sag that i think just the shackles in the back and no tt

bump....?

im not sure you would have to email the seller. Your bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5...correct me if im wrong someone...

yea i just seen that, so what exactly does that mean?
like as 99ex22 said im looking for 4.00 backspacing, how do i convert that to mm?
