Why are wheel spacers with their own studs the devil?

Here I'll put it into physics for ya:

(hub strength + lug strength) / 2 = adapters
 






HA.....nice guys! I guess what I meant to illustrate is that it's not a good thing to use spacers and adapters unless you need to. :D
