Add a leafs should be here by mid next week and that will push me up to 3-4" lift in the rear end.:D

I was hoping I could get a pointer in the right direction for what length shocks I'll need and where I can get them.

advanced auto got me skyjacker's for 3" to 4" lift @$50.00 a peace. had to order them tho
 






Finally got those darn things installed over spring break. Took many runs to the hardware store in my friends car to get misc. new hardware to replace destroyed ones but after a few hours (we b.s.'d a lot) we got it done.

I ended up with rancho 5000's RS 5227 I believe for shocks from TC's off road in Kent cause I don't have the budget to spend a lot more for the adjustable 9000 series or even fox shocks which will come much later haha.

grinded the bolt off the old pack and installed the new leaves with the new bolt. tightened it all up and grinded the extra length off.

after getting the axle bolted back up I had to retighten the center bolt for the pack it seems like it's more of a stepping stone to the finished product though.. but just for peice of mind I made sure.

With the new suspension travel it became very evident that my break line was quite tight before it even reached full droop. it took about two min. before I had an idea. I thought why not un-clip one or two of the hard line clips on the axle closest to left side and extend the position of the line splitter up where its still out of the way but gives enough slack...but how...

luckily the house is for sale so there is a junk pile in the garage of all sorts of odds and ends.. I found that metal stripping with the holes about 1.5" apart i think its used to keep insulation in place or hold HVAC ducting or something (forget what it's called sorry) anyhow I cut a chunk off so I had 2 useable holes and grinded the edges to be smooth and flush with everything. The top had to remove a good chunk for the hose splitter to fit aswell.

I used the stock bolt to secure the lower end of the bracket and a bolt and clip nut off of the front bumper valence I removed a while back for the top of the bracket with the hose splitter.

then I checked to make sure that everything was functional and didn't give when break pressure is applied. worked perfect.

I've got over 500 miles on it since It was finished last week and everything is working solid.

my favorite kinda modifications free and functional.
