So I have decided to go with some 235/85/R16 (32"x9.5"x16") tires. The problem is, I have no idea which brand or type to choose! I'm pretty sure I want some all terrains, but the BFGs I have now are terrible. I cannot drive at all if it is raining, for I have spun out on straightaways with them. So what should I choose? Please help!
Thanks,
kstrayhorn

I am too lazy to look and see if that size is available, but Bridgestone Dueler AT REVOs are great all terrains that you might want to look into. I am on my second set now.

Thank You!

Ok, thank you, I will look into them.
Some things that might be helpful to know:
I will be driving in mainly sunny, but sometimes rainy conditions, and even some light snow in the winter, but I will most likely not brave snow with 2WD. I drive on interstates/highways and backroads equally, and a little bit of off roading.

I looked up the Duelers and they were a bit pricey for me, but if I end up having enough and they are really that good, I may end up getting them. Otherwise, I have been looking at these:

Cooper Discoverer ATR LT: http://www.treadepot.com/tire/05502.html?CID=21
Hankook Dynapro AS RH03: http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop....s=Ordern&typ=R-109066&ranzahl=4&nichtweiter=1
General Grabber AT2: http://www.nextag.com/General-Grabber-AT-2-625604857/specs-html
Nexen Roadian MT: http://automotive.become.com/nexen-...all-season-tires--compare-prices--sc779213479
Nitto Dura Grappler: http://www.hubcap-tire-wheel.com/Nitto-Dura-Grappler-LT235-85R-16-tires.html

I am kind of leaning towards the Nittos or Generals at this point due to their treadwear and traction ratings.

Thank you all soo much! I am absolutely petrified of buying tires!

yes, roast, those are the ones I was referring to that caused a huge accident that ended up contributing to my list of donor cars, lol. Those are the ones I currently have and have had me sliding through stoplights in the rain. I guess I don't want to say they are bad tires, just that they are bad with low tread on them, which I guess any tire is. And therefore, I suppose my previous experiences with those has instilled an aversion to BFGs within me.

I love my Nittos. Great in the rain and snow, and not loud on the road. I have had them for about 8,000 miles and they took a trip from California to Kansas and they still look brand new. Here is a couple pics just because I like showing off my Ex, lol.

Thanks for your input, Tyler. I f it was totally up to me, I would pick the Nittos, but now my dad says he is going to "help out" which means he is going to pick the ones he wants. Love your Ex btw.
And what size are those?
Thanks,

Not sure if they make it in the size you need but I'd seriously look into Cooper Discoverer CTS. Very good road tire....great wet weather ratings and 70k tread life warranty. I worked at a local auto repair shop and we sold alot of Cooper tires and had great reviews on all of them. Their top of the line car tire is the CS4 which has been out for a few years. Sold alot of them and everybody loves them. They recently designed the CTS for trucks and suv's and patterned it off of the CS4.

Just checked Cooper's web site. They don't make the CTS in the size you want. I did notice all the tires in that size are "LT" tires. Unless you haul heavy loads I'd go with a "P" tire. It's gonna be a lighter tire, probably smoother riding and I assume a longer tread life.

Hank you all!

Ok thank you all so much for your help l. Unfortunately, my dad finally found time to talk to me and he refuses to buy anything not on tire rack wholesale. Therefore, the only tire we could agree on is the kumho road venture sat kl61. The only dilemma is that he doesn't believe that the 265/75/16 32/10.43/16 tires that we picked will fit on the 16x7.0 rim. If I could get confirmation whether these will fit or not from a couple of people it would be great!
Thanks,
