replacement molding and grill question?

So for all you guys this is a 2fer. I have some scratched and dented molding on the front passenger door of my truck. (got it like that)

you can barley see it but it is the gray molding so you know what I am talking about. How hard is it to remove that buy a new piece and put it on? Also is this an expensive thing or is it not to bad?

Secondly I have the stock grill and it is chipping at some of the corners around the emblem. I was considering painting it black till then but I'm not sure what the grill is made of any advice has anyone does this before? thanks.

I am pretty sure that the moulding panels are just held on by several push retainers and I think the grill is plastic too.
