I just bought a set of Hankook 265/75/16 Dynapro ATM, getting them mounted tomorrow.

also just ordered 2.25 spacers for the front only from Brandon. I have a long week ahead of me :)

Well I have some really good hookups where I work so I got them at a VERY nice price.

Just mounted mine 265 Wrangler ATs too bad i haven't installed my spacers yet but they do fill the wells nice. Gained almost 2 inches in height.

Miller-good to have hook ups! I really really dig those tires and I have never been a Cooper Fan aside from the Pro Comp Xterrains I have sitting in the basement collecting dust....

Noodles, your pics are too small... but the Ex's should come stock with that size. Looks nice too.

Joey- those look great already. Can't wait to see them with the lift too! Just make sure you get an alignment right away. I waited too long on my 265s and chopped them to hell.

GRNMACHINE- having hookups is awesome!! Lol but can't wait to test them, but I have a feeling they wwill do great :)

Yeah I did the Truxxx lift a while back after I already bought the 265s. Wish my rims were 9 inches wide and not 8 because I think a 305 or 315 would be able to fit under there.

Truxxx lift and thats it? No body?

Thanks guys, when i bought the truck couple years back she had brand new rubber on her but for some reason they were 245's truck sat really low, nice to have some height.

Yep that is with body lift too.

JNoodle,

I believe the 245's were stock, when I said 265's should be stock, I meant Ford should have used that size as stock but they did not. They have always been super conservative on tire sizes. i.e. 235/75/15 as stock size tire on a 2nd gen 4x4 is incredibly goofy looking.

When you guys buy new tires do you buy a 5th so you have a new full size spare I know what happens with our trucks and their auto 4x4? I have the 245/65/17 I'm looking at getting some 255/70/17

Also thought I should point out Miller's explorer makes me just jealous.

I have never bought a 5th as a spare, 33" tire wont fit underneath.

Haha I never thought of that. Does anyone know if a slightly smaller than a 32" will fit under a 3rd gen?

Yeah I know a 265 will fit under there. I have an old 285 from my f150 that I'll try to get under there in the morning. I'll post up after I try it!

Bumping this old thread because I got hit in my G35 (totaled :( ) and am contemplating buying my parents old explorer off them. I hate how it sits right now so if I buy it I want to put a lift on it but am torn between 2.5" spacers + UCAs + 265/75s and 2.5" spacers + UCA's + 3" BL + 285/75s. It has a 4.0 and the tranny sounds like it's going to take a **** soon so I know that it'll be more expensive (for a new transmission and regear) but the 35's just look so much more bad ass. Somebody talk some sense into me? I've looked at just about every explorer in the 3rd gen picture thread.
