I was wondering if anyone has succesfully installed a lower valance from a 98-00 ranger to their 95-97 explorer? the valance looks like this.

why are you looking to install this?
adding fog lights?

Just a different look. I may just try it. if doesn't line up the way i want it i will just sell the valance on ebay or something before cutting it to make it fit.

i want to say i have seen this valance on a 2nd gen ex so i may try it.

i couldnt imagine it being very difficult to install even if some mods were needed. do you do any off roading? i have (had) a small one on my truck which was quickly destroyed

depends how badly you want the valance, it might be possible to install a ranger bumper that you know would the valance would line up on and also bolt the same way to the bumper brackets on your x

might be more work than you want to do but just offering suggestions :chug:

i do but nothing too extreme, not much here in florida but watered down sand and swamp so i dont plan on doing much with ground clearance just a TT, shackle, and 3 inch body to clear 33's, i had thought about using a ranger bumper, but there was a neighbor that wrecked his ex and swapped a ranger bumper from his lot of wrecked work trucks and it did not fit even with swapping bumper brackets. i found some valances on ebay well under ford prices, plus i may have to go that route in the first place my parts manager said the ford part may be discontinued...

That actually looks pretty good on a second gen. Not so much on the first. Little too curvy to fit on a square front end.
