Having a hard time locating a Dana 60 High Pinion king pin. Finally found one for sale. The owner said it's from a 1979 and it's called the "snow fighter" of all things. Probably cause of the high pinion. But any rate, the guy is asking $800 or best offer. Is this a fair price? Hate to loose it cause they're hard to find around here especially high pinion. It's only about an hour and 1/4 from my house. It's all stock.

That's exactly the axle and exactly the price for the one in my garage. Shipping sucked, though, so you'll do well to go pick it up immediately.

Well looks like I'll be heading for the Bank in the morning to pick up some Cash-O-Matic.
Have a Dental appointment at 10:30, I'll see if I can change it. If not I'll leave after appointment. Thanks for the quick reply.

Those are the most desirable stock D60's ever made. HP, kingpin, and the diff is a little more towards the center compared to later models so there's plenty of room on the short side for suspension mounts.

$800 is a steal on that particular axle.

Well took the advice of some knowledgeable people on this site and just got back home with it. He said $800 obo so I offered $700 and he agreed. James, I even mentioned to him about what appeared to be so much room for the links to hook up to.
When you look at the pic it appears to be a pass side drop, but that's because it's rolled over. It thru me for a curve after driving down there and seeing it laying like this lol. Plenty of room for brackets on that tube.
This should keep me occupied during those cold winter months.
I invited the young man to visit our site. I was drooling the whole time looking at his collection of Jeep 4x4s. One was really rare as in they only made this model for one year. Others he was restoring along with a couple of crawler jeeps. His Dad had a collection of early vets. Yes I was intimidated lol.
