Just picked this axle up on Sunday. I gutted it. Turns out water had been sitting in the axle... So i took everything out checked all the seals, bearings, and races. And the look to be fine. It has 4.09 gears which will have to be cleaned up do to the surface rust.
This will probably a slow process but I hope to get any advice on doing the swap.
Got some brand new wheel bearings and wheel seals. Hoping to get them in sometime this week. This week i am also getting some new brake lines. I do have one question. Can someone who has done an SAS before tell/show me how you ran your brake lines from the master cylinder to the axle? Thank you.
