just another SAS

Hey Marshall

With the full width centered under the rig, how close does the diff yoke line up with the t-case yolk? Are you having to modify anything in that regard, or does it match up pretty well?

Thanks!

ok well after many many hours, absolutely no free time, and more $$$ than I planned, the thing is done, well actually it has been done about a month, but like I sadi no free time, maybe this afternoon, or tommorow I can post some pics. Haven't had much time to wheel it yet, but the F locker is awesome, and it handles great on the highway, with no sway bars at all, just the 9000x's cranked up and the old procomp es3000's int the rear, I need some new wheels, I am running stock bronco ones now that are only 7" wide and sit in way too far, with the full width axles, it is only about an inch wider each side than before. anyway hopefully we will have some pics up soon!

aprox. cost w locker F&R gears, steering, tires & wheels,
springs, shocks, driveshaft mods, axles F&R, and who knows what else.. never actually added it all up but roughly $1250-$1500 if I had to guess

That thing looks GREAT!! Good job

Thats all in cost huh..? Jefe paid like 4k just for his axle  Although im sure it is a nice axle :D

well as metioned above, I got my F axle for a $75 motorcycle tire, and the rear axle was $125 and did all the labor myself, except for the gears

ok well between moving myself across town and my parents to Indianapolis, working two jobs, and trying to spend a little time with shandell and brendan, my 3 yr old. I have had ZERO time, in fact I had to come all the way out to Indy to get on the damn net!, lol.
The X is doing good, except the motor is knocking, but I am in the process of building a 4.0, mostly stock, to use until the $$$$ for the 5.0 comes. I am also no real impressed with the flex, I think the springs are the main problem, I am using the Jeff's Bronco Grave Yard 5.5"VR's but the upper wraps of the spring, the "softer" part is compressed all the way together, so I am looking at some different coils, just unsure of which ones to get. any input would be great,

I just had to kinda update anyone that cared, according to the site mylast visit was Dec. 27, so I had a lot of catching up to do, looks like everyone is moving onward and upward, hope to see all soon, maybe AZ if not MOAB for sure!

Ah HAH! I finally found your SAS thread, nerd! :D Wow, you have had those axles in a long time now..
