Does anyone use the Motorcraft brand oil filter on their 4.6 V-8? I seem to remember reading that it has a check valve inside to help get oil to the engine quicker. True?

Yes you want a filter with a Silicone Anti Drain Back Valve . They are a lot better than the standard Black rubber ones ( that Fram uses)

note the thin rubber Anti Drain Back Valve

Where these 2 have a Orange Silicone Anti Drain Back Valve
