Body Mount Bushings

i will chime in here it is "D" and "H". "D" is upper and "H" is lower. these things suck on separating the two halves.

Also i greatly appreciate Jerry's help doing my body lift. He is a great guy.
Then you have Prothane's A thru D designation shown in the OP. Agree, Jerry's a trooper for helping when he's not 100% physically.

^ Definitely the best reference diagram. Should be in the ST stickies to stop the confusion.

Kjhadfield let us know how the Dormans are

I honestly won't be doing this anytime soon. My hope are for sometime mid summer. I'll have to budget in for the dorman kits and then the time to do it- which will be the main issue. Have to get caught up after a big tire/alignment purchase and the shocks I want have a deadline purchase by June 30 and then work it in hopefully w/out any costly unexpected repairs along the way.

But I'll definately post my thoughts and try to remember a follow up sometime after. I won't be reviewing the actual mounts though- just the hardware. I still plan on swapping the dorman mounts for the prothane kit I already have.

Well maybe you can find someone from the forum like I did that lives near you that can help you like I did. If I were near you I'd help like I am being helped. Good luck with it though.

Gee, he likes me, he really likes me!!! LOL

Yea, I don't think we will be able to get the driver side out either looking at that picture with the flare in there and all the rust. Good thing have a sawzall, grinder and welders. Valas did you narrow down the parts you're gonna order and from where yet for the sleeves?

We could've had the bodylift knocked out with new bushings in roughly eight hours if it hadn't been for that damn last bolt. But then again we still didn't try to separate the other sleeves yet. Had everything else down for it in about three hours and that's with My wife making us breakfast and dropping off lunch.

I think if we take some half inch metal conduit and hammer it down in there we can get it out. i think i have it figured out where to get them but i have to call them on tuesday to make sure they are the right ones.

It's worth a shot but I would order both sleeves for each side just in case. LOL

I'll probably trim the front bumper cover this week, that's the last thing to do other than the body lift pucks, steering shaft entension and rad drop down brackets but those happen after the lift is in.

Used the BL bolts for mine. Jerry aka midnightrebel, should be posting something about what I decided to do on my ST for splitting bushings apart with pictures.

I haven't uploaded the pictures yet. I'll get it done this week. I wish I could actually help you do the work on your truck man. I hate sitting aside while others are doing all the work.

Yea, I took pictures, just haven't had a chance to upload them yet to post.

Having you there as moral support is a lot of help. Someone with knowledge is always helpful.
