A little help with thermostat location

I need help locating thermostat. I tried looking and want to make sure I get the right hose..

So I found the thermostat with the three screws holding it. Do I just remove the 3 bolts and let the coolant drain on what looks like the starter below it?

After rereading my previous post I think I get. Remove the lower end of the hose let drain then then upper thermostat part.
