Hello folks,
I pulled this EGR off of my 2008 Exploder 4.0 liter yesterday. I assume that it is told what to do by the computer, but all I want to test is the diaphragm. When I apply vacuum to the two stubs on top, no resistance. When I remove the long vacuum hose and apply vacuum, the vacuum pulls to 15" or so and holds steady, but the valve doesn't move. When I try to move the valve by using a surgeon's clamp around the stem, it doesn't move at all. Can anyone tell me how to properly test this thing? From the looks of it, I suspect it is frozen closed after 10 years. Pics attached.
Thanks!
