Whats the brand and part number for that fan? And did it come with all the bracketry aside from the metal bracketry you added at the bottom? And where did you get that metal bracketry?
If you are interested, I have a Derale fan and controller that I initially used on my V8 conversion that is for sale. Depending what you are doing, these might great for you.

I don't even have this car anymore. This was a project from 2010. If you look at the very top, where the thread begins, the brand and part numbers are listed.
To the best of my recollection, I used scrap metal pieces that I found in a junk yard. They may have held an 8-track player behind the dashboard of my Mustang II. At this point, too much Disco has rotted my mind.
I don't mind helping. I even did the homework for you.......better late than never, if you still haven't installed your electric fan yet. Go online and search for something called a "fan bracket".
