How hard is to change the rear Ford emblem on my 2008 XLT? I would like to replace it.

This might help:

I don't think mine is glued on because I can jiggle it like it is clipped on. It might not matter because after looking around it seems Ford isn't selling them anymore unless I can find a NOS one or a good used one.

That emblem is part of the chrome strip. You have to remove the strip - there are about 4 screws holding it on - pretty easy to remove as I recall. I don't recall if you have to remove the trim panel inside though. It looks like the plastic holder behind the emblem will pull out (that's the second pic).

Ive done this when I added my back up camera and as in eddys pics you have to squeeze in those white tabs to release the trim after removing those 8mm bolts but you need to get access from the inside of the liftgate when you get it off the blue oval will separate from the contraption but be careful it will break and now mine is held on with 3m trim mounting tape

Thanks guys. If I can find one, it doesn't look too hard.

ya, the one on my 08 is scratched to hell. I was thinking about visiting the junk yard for a better one and a passenger side stock running board. Recently got a new grill for my 95 Sport and was thinking of 3D printing a custom one. Were you just going to replace with a stock emblem or something custom?

I was just replacing with the stock piece unless there is something cool that cost less.
