Folks, haven't got much from the archives on this and I hope someone knows of a replacement for the lower front fog lights for a 99 sport? These are round fog lights, and I'm having a devil of a time trying to find replacements for mine with broken lenses (well, one lens doesn't exist anymore lol)

The odd one that shows up at a local wrecker the lights are already busted. Anyone got any leads? Thanks in advance!

They are available

I recently retrofitted some square led pods to fit my 2002 bumper
I broke out the factory
Glass and trimmed some
Plastic until the led pod mounted to the base worked out!

I did see other fogs but would really rather put back in the factory style back in - so you cut the bumper to make it a square light instead of round? Or did you put a square peg in a round hole? ;)

That ad won't ship to Canada but I'll keep digging now to see if I can that brand from somewhere else. If there's a will there's a way.

Cheers! :)

edit: found that lamp on amazon Canada - that one did not show up on my initial searches!! Thanks!

I modified a factory light assembly by removing the glass and trimming plastic thus making room for the aftermarket pod to mount. Bolts in like a factory
Light
It was pretty simple

Glad you found one! I like the sock fogs because they are real glass

Ok today is getting better, checked the local scrapyard and they just got an 01 in there and there's no way those fogs are the original ones, they look really good - I had gone over for something else and that was a surprise as I was walking through.

Do you have to take the bumper off to take them out? Hopefully I can just drop them out without removing the bumper. Just back here now for lunch and grab more tools.

IDK for certain on a '99, but on my '98, the rectangular fog light brackets are accessible without taking the bumper off, just put that corner of the vehicle on a jack stand and take the wheel off for easier access. I don't remember if I had the wheel well liner out too.

HOWEVER, both of my fog light mounting brackets rusted out, so I bought new OEM style fog lamp housings with bracket, but I couldn't get the darn mounting bolts out due to rust. They stripped trying to use a socket, tried drilling them out but found my cobalt bits of appropriate size were too dull, gave up at the time because life interrupted and needed it out of the garage.

Once it gets back on my priority list (I hardly ever use fog lamps, just don't like seeing open holes), will get new drill bits or use a torch, or just brute force make a huge hole that takes out the bolt with it, then instead of using original bolts, put in a backing plate behind the existing metal/hole and use any random bolts and nuts instead.

You can unbolt them just move the inner fender skirt
3ea 5.5 screws I believe maybe 7mm

Already had them out right after I saw that thread I posted earlier. Only 1 bolt snapped! :)

Thanks everyone. Cheers!

Retro fit some LED pods in their place. They will throw more light than the OEM will ever will…

This single Rigid Industries LED spot shoots farther than the high beams…

I vaguely remember seeing facotyr style fogs on Rock Auto. +1 for pods though they shoot far. Although I do like my glass lights

Got the used replacements installed and she looks alot better now, both bulbs that were already in them also worked - thanks all!

(excuse the dirt!)
