2002 ford explorer sport trac ac orifice tube

been looking at videos of orfice tube location my sport trac doesn't have a screwed pipe by fire wall
this is what I have . the guy I got truck from replaced evap, dryer and condenser,
I believe its the bottom pipe ,but everyone says its threaded.

It’s in the bottom pipe, last picture
It is not threaded
 












I use forcepts to grab it and pull it out
Can clean it or replace it
Make sure you note which way it installs

Just did this twice last week
 






Took out the orifice tube , just now, it was installed backwards here's a picture

I have always just used the forcepts… as long as I’m careful there is no damage
Now I’m curious about the actual tool and to learn how I’ve been doing it wrong ;)

The orifice tube was installed backwards 2 years ago , he also installed new evaporator , dryer , compressor , condenser and tube . 2 months ago I notice AC was getting weaker and weaker , that's when I decided to check tube ... installed backwards . the tool wouldn't of helped with this one . did vacuum for 3 hours filled up and what a difference
