I finally made it out of the garage last night with the new lift, just a few more tweaks and some weekends testing and flexing with Jefe and we are there!!

ONLY 18 DAYS

Well only 18 days till wheeling in Moab I am wondering if everyone is sleeping or just trying to get their trucks ready cause it's awfully quiet in here

I may be bringing one more vehicle on the run but I won't know more until we get it finished. I am also not flying solo any more so if you are making reservations for something count me as 2.

I'm sure you know which of those two I'm doing.

I know this will be hard for you all to believe but my tranny just took a major dump.
I'm going to get it in the shop this week and hope they have it done in time.
I wonder how well my Camry will do on Fins-n-Things???

What does everyone think should they be able to have it doen in under 2 weeks?

Does anyone know a shop in the Phx area that is good and maybe even more importantly inexpensive.

Well, I'm putting my truck in the shop tomorrow for a couple things, so it should be all set in plenty of time for Moab. The only thing I'm worried about it making sure is does ok on my move to Colorado next week. As long as it does ok, I'll be seeing you fellas in Moab. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like my Dad will be able to make it this year, but I know he wishes he could be.

jefe I know what you have been up to I have also been working on my axles pretty hard too I am also doing an axle swap and high steer on my brothers toyota 4-runner. We just got the axles yesturday. I hope to get him all ready for moab so he can come and show us how its done.........RIGHT!

Marty did you ever figure out what went wrong with your tranny?

OH I almost forgot to say I have also been working at my day job 6 and 7 days a week Who needs sleep anyway, its over rated.

I think its time for a sound off from who is really going. There is sundays trails to decide on for all classes also.

I think the BigDawgs have changed plans and decided to run Ekips Nedlog (Golden Spike backwards ) Saturday, and then Metal Masher on Sunday instead of Rose Garden Hill to the Top of the World, right? Mike can change the itinerary to reflect that, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I am still planning to come. Leaving Thursday night, arriving Friday. I just bought my coil spacers from Jet Ski Puller and ordered my AAL from good ol' JCWhitney. Should have everything sometime next week. Can't wait to see everyone and hit the trails.

What is everyone else doing to get their rigs trail ready?

Replace wheel bearings, centerlinkage, Idler are bushings, lower ball joints. Today weld on the rock sliders. We are running Niagra Rim trail this weekend to test everything out before Moab. Still have a ABS light on? Can't figure out how to hook up my ebrake cable with the new disc brakes and I need to figure out how to mount my steering stabalizer, the brackets it came with wont work. I think thats it?

I will be leaving thursday night and getting there around 8:00pm.

I still have to finnish my brothers axle swap and gears and lockers and high steer and..........

I also have totaly redone my frontend and put in 2 ARB air lockers so I have been a busy man

Kevin, the only place I know that specializes in the Explorer trannies is Dougs Transmissions. Gloria Zimmerman first swore by them, but after awhile she was swearing at them. Make of it what you will... I don't have a phone or address for Dougs, but he should be in the Phx metro area.

Mike, I noticed on the itin that the Saturday dinner is at 7pm. If we run Golden Spike backwards it might be a good idea to bump the resv back to 7:30, it might be a long day on the trail for the BigDawgs and every minute helps....... Rick, do you think 7pm is safely late enough, or would 7:30 be a safer bet?

Also, we are getting a few more signed up so we might have enough for two Modified and BigDawg runs Sunday. I've already done Metal Masher a couple of times so I would still be willing to do Thompson Canyon/Rose Garden Hill/Top of the World if any Modified/BigDawgs are attending that want to do that. Otherwise, Metal Masher is fine for me too. I'll be happy to go or help anywhere you guys want me too

And concerning what am I doing to get ready, I am getting ready by doing nothing - I am not going to Tellico and breaking stuff the weekend before Moab, LOL.
