I built some stronger front mounts as well. All made out of quarter inch material. Here it is tacked welded next to the factory hanger. 20160218_195945 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr It is keyed into the back plate then also welded. 20160218_200111 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on...

Everyone uses the belltecks cause they are cheap and what everyone mentions for a lift shackle. Mine are 10ish years old. I am sure the only reason mine have lasted this long is cause my BroncoII tank hangs down lower then the shackles taking most of the hits. The diy4x are nice.

    RockRangerII Refresh

Awhile back I built some new shackles for the rear suspension. I built them to match the length of the Belltecks that I have been running. All was good till I went to install them and the 2" OD bushing I used would not clear the factory hangers. I put it on the back burner and finally build...

Having ran my wooden storage box behind my seats for awhile I really liked the bungeecords to hold items in place. So I drew up and cut a lower bracket and a upper bracket. I put a few bends in the lower to give it added strength. 20160212_144536 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr I then...

On the computer it didn't look nearly as big as what your pictures show. So much for that idea.

King of the Hammers 2016 - Discussion and pics

Great pictures. Would have liked to make it down there this year but it wasn't in the cards. The Monday night shootout wasn't great. Hopefully next year they can get it resolved and do backdoor again or maybe even go up the waterfall ran during qualifying. The live updates online of timing...

That is true. I wonder how much the round shape helps keep it from distorting. Have me thinking now. I could do one like that but no where near that price though. It would take 2/3 of a sheet of steel to make. It is a cool design but doesn't lend well to cooking marshmallows over :D

Thanks. I saw a few similar ones on line in pictures. Other then that I drew the whole thing up and designed it myself. I thought about using 1/8" material but was worried that it would warp to easy. I need to build a good size fire in it and see what it does.

    RockRangerII Refresh

I haven't done much to the truck lately but did decide to build a fire pit. One side is for my ranger and one side for Tracy's CJ7. I had a few burn thrus on the letters but they could easily be fixed next time. It is all cut from 3/16" plate. The top is roughly 38" in diameter. Now I just...

x2. It would also be nice if there was a way to add the announcer on site to the feed as well. You could here someone in the background doing interviews and saying who was who.

EF 20th Anniversary Events - Planning for 2016!!!

Is there a list of people going to moab with a list of what trails people plan to run which days and when people will be arriving and leaving? Also where is everyone staying? Figure I made the 6th year, 10 year and now hope to make the 20 year. Gas looks like it will be cheap. What better...

Decided to add a padded arm rest to the top of the center console. Tracy took me to Joann fabric and some 2" foam and some marine grade vinyl I had what I needed. 20160102_161033 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr 20160102_171327 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr 20160102_171334 by Matthew...

Adding LED pod lights to cowl area

Thanks. Only around the neighborhood. Having a white hood they give a nasty glare off the hood. Not sure if I will be keeping them or not. If I decide to pull them off I will either use them as reverse lights on my car trailer or facing rearward on my cage to light up the bed/...

I also go a Yaesu 2900 ham radio for Christmas. I got it mounted but still need to run power to it. I already had an antenna installed in the truck. 20151227_161019 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr

    Jack's SAS version 3.0

Keep the 4.0 swap in a c5/4 form the early ranger. Use any tcase or doubler setup that can be bolted to a c4 stock or aftermarket. Stock engine reliability with a better then stock auto and tcase setup. You loose OD but run a little less gear in the axles (4.56 vs a 5.13) and make up for it...

    Jack's SAS version 3.0

The wiring can't be that bad. That is the answer right there. When we eventually get my wife a new car the 5.0 in her explorer will probably end up in my ranger.
  28. R

    Jack's SAS version 3.0

The doubler is one of the best modifications I have made to my truck. I can take my truck places that I would have never dreamed of with out it. I would take it over a solid axle if I had to choose one or the other. This is the downside to the doubler. To bad someone hasn't come out with...

It is only 9" deep so there is only so far for stuff to fall. As long as my air down and air up supplies stay near the top I am good.
