Jack's 1993 Explorer build thread
If i had to do it all over again and I knew for certain I wouldn't run anything larger than a 31 then I would have went with shackles and f-150 coil spacers. If I had to do it all over again and I knew for certain I was going wheel it I would have done the SAS the first time I lifted it...- Four0Sport

4.88s with 33s behind a 5r55e?
well I found a YJ D30 already geared 4.56. Ranger isn't a SOHC, good ol reliable OHV so we'll see how 33s do with the gearing. in the Explorer, 4.88s and 35s are perfect.- Four0Sport

Thats good to know James, thanks! RH C is off, seemed like we worked the weld with a grinder forever before we finally saw the crack. Still got some lameness going on though, lower ball joint stud is seized in the C. Tried a long punch and a sledge, tried a C press, drilled the majority of...- Four0Sport

help with explorer awd to 4x4 conversion
check the fluid of the used unit you get, a fresh fluid change is easier when it is out of the vehicle. youll be fine with that setup while you get to know your own limitations, but trust me it wont be long till youre looking for more lift, bigger tires, lockers, armor, etc, etc... its an...- Four0Sport

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166726 I'm sure you've already read the above thread. All info needed was put into one convenient place. I don't see how the trans would be affected as long as the install was done correctly. I'll be doing this to my 5.0 this spring.- Four0Sport

James Duff Stainless braided brake hoses for 6" lift are these the proper ones?
The caliper ends are the same as the ones I got from Earl's Plumbing, which I think makes most of the lines for suspension companies, they work and seal fine. The coil bucket ends on yours look the same too. Just to be sure though test fit them. Thread the same? Will they lock in place with...- Four0Sport

I broke my TrueTrac?
Ended up not being the differential.. I jumped the gun hoping it was so I could talk myself into buying a locker. Ended up being the RH lock out, grenaded into the outer wheel bearing. I'm surprised I drove 3 hrs home with no issues. Good advice on the rebuild though, I'll keep that in mind...- Four0Sport
