With regular driving, that solenoid should be open. This recirculates the boosted (heated) air. This is why we see high iats when drivin around out of boost. This is also why an intercooler is so helpful. Without a intercooler, and with water/meth we should see lower iat's in boost over...- Dono

Im thinking if you added multiple nozzles and sprayed the **** out of it you could bring wot temps down. But, your part throttle iats will still be super high with all that recirculating boosted air. You have an issue, and none of us can help. The more i learn, the more i dont see a way out...- Dono

Whilw were on the swap thing, I wonder about the dimenions of a ford 4.6 2v. lol. The trans would bolt right up. Would probably end up in exactly the same place with the same, or different issues that are just as big. Space is a huge issue under the hood.- Dono

Can you get the nozzle right after the maf? Thats max time in the air stream. Maybe get fancy and T two of them of 1/2 the volume of one big one at both sides of the inlet tube? Im super happy with 100 degree's at wot. Not going to have any issues there. I'd still like to lower them some more, but then I'm in to a GT-500 style heat exchanger (Big surface area) and then I need to change out the bumper crash pad for a crash bar....Not seeing it happening (Maybe one day...- Dono

Sorry, I somehow missed the thread activity. I was wondering, so I logged in and see there's been fantastic progress. Congratulations Tim! As for the IAT question, May 30th I did a drive around log, and it came in at about 158 degree's and below when lightly driving around in the city. I...- Dono

Were in Saint Martain now. So far, and awesome experience. Our first airB&B attempt. We picked a cheaper one since we're not interested in spending our time inside. People are friendly, no one pressures you for anything, food and drink is cheap. I have wifi, so It's fantastic to keep up on...- Dono

Ecu tuning
I did not go the zentronix route. I looked seriously at it since Don Lasota really cerommends them for accuracy. I don't think its any easier to tune with using SCT livelink. The price chased me away. The innovative LC1 works fine. Before doing any serious tuning, I like to re-calibrate, and...- Dono

Those intake temps are sure high. I hope I'm wrong, as I'm jast a backyard hack. What are the odds of being able to move that sensor to the air filter in a temporary hack kind of way? Is the sensor the wrong one, with the voltage curve being wrong? 125 degree's cruising cant be right. Your...- Dono

Yea, I'm not liking it either. It might be better than reading the recirculting air temperature though (Im pretty sure the original sensor location reads the recirculating air, instead of the cooled air?). Either one, is less than ideal. Sucks, there's no room for anything.- Dono

That low voltage thing is so weird. I still think there would be great gains in cooling to be had getting at least full voltage to that intercooler pump. Did meziere mention if the pump could run at 17volts? I definitely see a change in flow from car not runnuing, to car running. I don't want to go through the pain of testing the pump flow at different voltages, but I do know pump flow is reduced as voltage drops. Have you thought about spraying...- Dono

Thinking out loud here on the intercooler pump. I'm pretty sure these pumps are fine with higher voltage. Maybe call tech support? If its ok, maybe some kind of a voltage increaser like a 'boost a pump', that up's the output voltage.- Dono
