It looks like the washer for forward drum to me. Not sure what caused it to get destroyed. The truck is very well maintained. =( Needless to say, I'm not too happy about it....

Removed my valvebody today. Lowered it straight down and found these nice pieces on top of it. You can see the dust all over the place as it was in the fluid. This can't be good but does anyone know if I should start thinking of a rebuilt trans soon? I was replacing the VB and Sol pack to try...

Just got done putting new CVB VB and sol pack in and have pumped in 8 qts so far and no matter how much i put in it drips out slowly. Anyone know roughly how much more I can expect to pump in? I dont want to over fill. Thanks

Yes. I may just get some new rims.

I'll try to snap some pics later. It is a common issue with these rims. I really don't want to buy new rims if I don't have to. I am afraid of road grime etc building up behind the cladding.

Is it possible? Has anyone tried? I'm not sure how you would hold it tight while it cures, may a bunch of clamps? My Limited's rims are starting to look like poop.

Once I turned around, I went up with no issues. Tires are not directional... Strange how one rear spun and the other 3 or front didnt take up the slack. Maybe the coupling is slipping? IDK.

Hi All, Was backing up a snowy hill today in the 04 limited AWD and one rear tire kept spinning. I ended up having to turn around to get up the hill. Does AWD not work in reverse? Thanks

UPDATE: Vibration was caused by a "bent" rear drive shaft. Not sure how it got bent but the dealer said it could be from acceleration/torque. There were no marks on it that would indicate it hit something. I never tow with so I think it's somewhat strange that this would happen to a bone stock...

That's about what I have. I don't see any up/down movement, but the rear seems to have excessive rotational play. Having a tough time pinning down the vibration source.

I am wondering if it is the chain in the xfer case. Strange how it seems the rearend also has play in it. I suppose it is possible both are in need of help.

Update: I had my wife sit in the truck while it was running and shift it from reverse to drive while parking brake was on and she had foot on brake....I could see the shafts moving but the rear seemed to move a lot and I could hear a clunk from the rear diff. How often do rear gears really go...
