Thanks. I will try giving the tubes a blast.

    Another leak thread

Thanks. Do I have to worry about blowing anything apart if I use compressed air blowing into the tubes?

    Another leak thread

Yes, and I have not checked to see if the tubes are clogged in a while. Where exactly do the tubes exit to? I heard people mentioning taking the cowl off and checking to see if drains are clogged. If I take the cowl off where exactly do I look to find the drain exit? Also, would this explain...

    Another leak thread

If I have water leaking into the overhead light at the base of the windshield and on the driver's side floor where should I look first? Should I just assume I have a broken seal on my windshield?

    Stubborn nut holding TSR.

I've got the two smaller bolts loose. I probably will use a crow's foot and a breaker bar. I need that nut because I don't have another one or would have to get one. I will fashion a brace to hold the selector lever in place while I break the nut loose.

    Stubborn nut holding TSR.

I may have to change wrenches/ratchets and brace the selector. I need something with a little more leverage but the problem is I'm doing it from my driveway with the Ex on ramps. Not easy. I'm punting right now until I ponder it more.

    Stubborn nut holding TSR.

I need advice on nut removal for the main center nut securing the trans range sensor to the transmission. I've already soaked it with PB Blaster and let it sit for a few days. It's not coming off and it's tight to maneuver in there with the shaft from the transfer case running right next to it...

    Sealed Power Timing Set

Yeah, Sealed Power is a brand name as far as I know. Found it online.

    Sealed Power Timing Set

I don't have any issue with my current SOHC V6 but it doesn't hurt to plan for eventual rebuild. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of the Sealed Power Timing Set? I found it online was curious how well it has held up in rebuilds. I've heard lot's of negatives about aftermarket cassettes.

TSR - Any tips for install?

Right now I've sprayed the main center bolt with PB Blaster to loosen it up. It's pretty stubborn and the shaft from the transfer case makes it pretty tight in there along with the heat shield. I'm taking my time. The trans has pretty distinct and secure shift points so as long as I can see the...

TSR - Any tips for install?

I finally picked up a replacement transmission range sensor from NAPA and want to install it myself. I noticed the sensor has clear alignment marks from manufacturing. It's pretty tight in that area around the linkage. Any advice on making this install easier? Thanks for any feedback.

    Moog Complete Struts

Just wanted to say I've had the Moog Complete Struts for a while now and they really do ride and control well. No regrets.

    P0708 Mystery

Haven't repaired it yet. New symptom - Engine cutting off while idling. I've never had this problem.

    P0708 Mystery

Anyone have torque specs for the bolts for TSR? I know you could probably just do it by feel but nice to know.

    P0708 Mystery

If that's all it is then that would be great. I cringe at the thought of a rebuild. The trans has been good so far and the truck has a little over 140K on it. I may go ahead and do a fluid and filter change. I will check the alignment of the TSR. Are there reference marks to align to? I was...

    P0708 Mystery

Thanks for the reply. What if I get a blinking O/D OFF light when in park but goes off when I put it in drive. I had driven it a few minutes across town and parked with the motor running while running errands.

    P0708 Mystery

I inspected the Transmission Range Sensor on my '04 SOHC V6 4WD and the contacts on the sensor and connector appear clean. It threw a code P0708 after our mountain trip and we headed home to inspect. Since there are no apparent signs of contact erosion or grounding out what does anyone think it...

    2004 Transmission Range Sensor Location

Can anyone help me out on this one? I got the dreaded CEL and pulled a P0708 code while on vacation in the mountains. Can I solve my problem with a new range sensor and a trans fluid and filter change most likely? Can you give me the location of the sensor? I know I can probably find it at the...

Sounds like it might be the chain tensioner for the timing chain.

    Moog Complete Struts

Well, I found a good deal on the Moogs so I will be the guinea pig for everyone else. I will let you know how well they install and perform.

    Moog Complete Struts

Understood and agree. There was a time when a name could be relied on. With ownership and source points of manufacturing being so fluid that is no longer the case as you point out. I too would like to know the Moog's origin. I'm pretty confident that they wouldn't put their name on junk though...

    Moog Complete Struts

So....Number4, what complete strut assembly of all you have knowledge of do you prefer? That's why I'm asking questions but I usually like to form my own opinions after digesting what's in front of me. I have enough mechanical inclination to usually make informed decisions. Data points are...
