    James, just to let you know the numbers i speak of are "out of the box numbers" . Of course ported heads will produce significant gains. The statement good low mid range makes a difference in this conversation, The cam doesn't make much more horsepower, it just makes it in different places.

    Don't waste your money on the tb spacer, and i prefer pro m for the mass air. Still though headers never actually do too much, they are just a stop on the road to more hp. Would i buy them. Yes.

    James, How bout just changing the rockers to 1.72's the cam is alot of work. I have the e cam in my stang and that was alot of work with the motor out. i really can't see the benefit in an 80mm mass air though, at least in his case, 70 is a fair size, 4 bills for a pro m is alot...

    people with Borla headers...

    It probably won't kick any ass, but it's a start. Mines not a 4.0 but i have experience with headers, in general. you can't expect much more than 5-10 hp. Not enough to feel in your foot when you stomp on it, but it will be there.

    Rocket, out of curiousity what kind of block and rods are you using? You gotta love how they made the zex kit, i have the old nos dry kit on my mustang, what a mess that was to intall, too many parts , and too much additives to put on the threads to keep them from leaking.

    yup, you don't need the throttle body, 70mm is worthless without lots of hp. Underdrive pullies would be a waste even if they had em. The 5-8 hp they give on a mustang causes more trouble than good. I tried the phenolic on my 5.0 mustang, to me it's another worthless mod. I like the mass air...

    Local ford dealer probably has them in stock since i'm sure they are used on more than one vehicle. Though i don't think your little blow torch is going to ruin the old bolts. If you reuse them make sure to use some locktite, and check to see if they are tight every couple times you drive...

    Go to a store, anywhere almost, buy a cheap torch, it's not going to cost much. you only need it once. Heat um up for a while and they will come off. It definetely works. I had to do it on my mustang, not too long ago.

    you need the flange. If you didn't buy the outrageused priced kit, you did not get it. If you can return it. Most guys on here like the kkm kit, seems to be the only thing of reasonable price.
