Ah! Thank you so much! I was looking around but I guess I wasn't looking hard enough haha

Replacing 05 Sport Trac Outer Door Handles

So recently my dad broke the driver's side door handle off my '05, and I just bought a replacement handle. This didn't come with rivets or screws to mount it with, and I have no clue what size screws I would need to replace the rivets with, if possible. I also have no way to remove the rivets...

    05 Sport Trac Build/Repair Thread

Yeah, I'm a bit hesitant, but it's all I can afford right now, really, and the vibration's getting bad. I bought the control arms for my Supra from eBay and they're doing fine so far, but it might just be luck of the draw, really. I took a look on Rock Auto and found I can get the control...

    05 Sport Trac Build/Repair Thread

Found a set of control arms, tie rods, AND lower ball joints on eBay for $153. Once I pass this test for work and get my compensation for it, I might go after them. Parts: K8708 (1) K80068 (1) K8695 (2) EV81003 (2) ES3667 (2) They already come with bushings in, which is epic. It makes my...

I love the lights. Too bad I could never find the adapter for mine!

    05 Sport Trac Build/Repair Thread

First things first. I'll reserve this for the spark plugs. I'm going to pull a couple this weekend if I can and take a look at them. My dad says the dealership supposedly did routine maintenance on it before it was sold, but after the condition I found the water pump and thermostat housing in, I...

    05 Sport Trac Build/Repair Thread

I've decided to use this as my build and repair thread for my lovely Sport Trac. Here I will list any problems I find and check them off as I go, and post pictures of my horrific findings along the way. When I finally come around to modifications, I'll post those in here too. I'll even post the...

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

The Coolant temp sensor was taken out recently when my t-stat housing exploded. I had a leaky water pump and replaced it, and the next day the housing cracked and coolant spilled all over the road while I was driving. I should have replaced it, but spending $$$ on a tow truck, plus shop work for...

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

Hiking in the cooler weather is pretty awesome. I just avoid the shade, lest I feel like freezing my rear end off. I'm not kidding when I say I'm a dainty thing.

I didn't know about the plug on the diff. Nice.

    differential fluid.

As far as I know, there isn't a an easy way to do it. I THINK.. don't take my word for it.. you can drill a tap and drain/refill it that way and put a plug in it. I'm not 100% sure, though.

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

I'm the she. :P Waiting on a reply back from the dealership we got the truck from. They owe me service since they kinda messed up my truck when I took it in for a free oil change [couldn't resist free]. They rotated the tires, too, but only hand tightened the lugs on the rear left wheel. It...

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

Haha, greetings! My mileage dropped quite a bit. I'll do plugs and clean everything off. Maybe a new fuel filter and see how it does. Oh. And she*. Not he.

No CEL or trouble codes whatsoever.

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

I'm thinking it could be fuel/ignition. Might be time for new plugs anyways since I don't know the last time they were done since I bought the truck [4 months ago ish]. The local dealership owes me service since they messed up the truck not too long ago. I'm going to have them check things for...

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

Sorry, no snow/mud slinging to be found here. Lately, the weather has been colder than normal, and my truck doesn't seem to be enjoying it. I noticed some problems a while back when I took it up north to Flagstaff for the first time. As I hit higher elevations, I noticed my gas mileage...

Haha, I'm serious though! Well.. I dunno. I kinda like the little teeny bow. Maybe I'll dig up more and put them all over the grille. :P

    December TOTM - Holiday Delight

I'll have to find the AC adapter so I can plug them in and get a night shot. I might need a bigger bow..

Nasty Surprise on the Daily Commute

Yeah.. I'm glad it didn't happen at faster speeds, and that no one was hurt. The truck is back from the shop now. New tires, shocks, and an exhaust coming, to boot. ProComp steel wheels and all the suspension and steering work has been done. Glad to have it back in decent shape. Might need...

Nasty Surprise on the Daily Commute

I just want it heard, really. What's done is done and it's already being fixed. :] I don't remember the specs of the wheels off the top of my head. It had been running on those wheels since about 2004 without a problem, though. Only after it got hit did the front end start shearing studs like...
