The plugs and the bad O2 sensor are now changed and shes running great. I have a feeling that the plugs were just bad that it was causing the misfire.

I splurged and bought a OBD2 scanner. 2 codes came up - one is the O2 sensor again and the other is cylinder 6 is misfiring. I replaced the plug wires and the engine seems to be running better already. Tomorrow I'm changing out the plugs and the bad O2 sensor.

I am sure there are no vacuum lines or hoses loose. I spend about 3 hours last night nosing around in the engine compartment doing various things and nothing was out of the ordinary.

Eneurb, what product do you use for an induction system cleaner? I am going to assume something other than Sea Foam? I would like to get a nice product to clean out my system and if there is something better than Sea Foam then I would like to give it a try.

Just be sure to check that your areas do not have restrictions on Wig-wags. My area has a restriction on alternating between high and low beams - only police are allowed this.

Im also on a department and have lights in my Explorer - you could use a corner strobe system like I have in mine but I don't think you can use them in that area - mine are actually in the corners

The Mirt only works at certain intersections that are equipped with the proper equipment. It really isn't about being in a city or rural area but most of the intersections are in larger cities where traffic is heavier.

hey mhn3773 - another option you may wish to consider is informing someone that works for the public works department in your area as to your situation and request that they reevaluate that intersections lighting control programming and possibly get them to change it to a flashing red light...
