I throw a rod and it finally seized the engine

I truly believe I threw a rod though...... le sigh

So I did that still no codes from ODB And I think I have a tap in my engine now.... Drove it to dealership and they couldn't start it because has soon has I parked and turned it now when you turn key you just get one click. This keeps getting better and better!! LOL

Thank you... will do that before I go to work... and only going to dealership for the diagnostic seeing how I have already tried 2 shops

I just got my SUV back and the Check Engine codes have been corrected but the driving problem still persists. It idles slightly eradic at lights (fluctuates between 700rpm and 1000rpms) shakes badly and stumbles through out driving range. I also have a unusual noise coming from the engine...

FUEL INJECTORS.... However one would think the ECU would throw a specific code for that ...... Oh well, But I have new injectors and a major tune-up alll to the tune of $954.56... Now to see if I can get that discounted by a hundred or so ....

Apparently, they think I need fuel injectors...... thats where we are now

I literally was just told by Pep-Boys "we dont know why your check engine light is on" the mechanic doesnt know what it could be"..............................

Will do ..... truck runs and starts fine just misses and stumbles on idle and acceleration also the two plugs i was able to remove were "wet" and looked oily although im pretty sure it was gasoline by the smell

I actually just replaced the coil all together..... same issue so to the shop it goes Thursday

Could these gaskets also cause a strange coolant lost has well?? I have no leaks visually radiator new, water pump new too and bottom hoses all new but my coolant disappears a gallon every two weeks roughly and have no idea why

So You need to remove the entire center roof counsole in oder to gain access to the section the switch is located in? Because that area or panel looks to be seperate from the rest of the counsole that houses the direction tempdisplay or am I right at comprehending what I am reading that I have...

its a 4.0L SOHC ....is that the same thing has an OHC your referencing My hands are tiny but so is my hand strength and looking at that bankfrom the top my AC lines and whatever that little box ting is that looks like a eater core assembly is totally in the way.....
