Need help removing broken sway bar end links

The little saw I had didn't really do much damage (pretty sure its just for wood and probably ruined it) and I don't have a torch, but I did get it off. I ended up just pushing and pulling the top half of the end link back and forth (mine originally broke right under the top bushing but the...

Need help removing broken sway bar end links

I have one that is stuck beyond belief...maybe I need to just go back out and use this method lol Kinda wish I had a saw or torch though, sounds like that's the way to go here

    sway bar links

Thanks for the quick reply. I've got em ordered and they are next on my long list. Appreciate the help!

    sway bar links

So if I get the end links from Moog and just the bushings from ES, they can be combined, correct? Just want to make sure they'll work together and there's nothing more I'd need before purchasing them. Thanks guy!

    Brake squeal after changing pads

Thanks for checking in, I haven't gotten to jacking it up and trying to figure it out yet. I had a bigger problem come up as we found a 15 foot deep hole full of water in the crawl space of the house we're renting, so priorities kinda shifted... Now I'm on vacation for a week, so not sure when...

    PCV Valve (98 4.0 OHV)

Thanks for taking the time to write that extensive response, however I'm afraid we must not have the same engine, or at least not the same PCV valve setup. However, I did figure it out and felt pretty stupid after as it was extremely easy. For some reason I forgot about YouTube on this one; I...

    PCV Valve (98 4.0 OHV)

So, I think I've read just about every thread on here trying to find this dumb little $2 valve that I'm supposed to replace...but no luck. It sounds like I won't be able to see it, but have to feel for it between the firewall and the back of the engine, correct? And then just pull up on it once...

    Brake squeal after changing pads

Yeah, I'm realizing that is very true, but for my first time (and first significant repair), it could have gone a whole lot worse, and I've learned a ton in the process. Now, supposedly, I need to go and buy a whole $300+ computer system/software just to change the pads on my wife's VW....

    Brake squeal after changing pads

This sounds like a pretty good plan if the noise hasn't dissipated by the time I do the sway bar links. Thanks!

    Brake squeal after changing pads

Thanks for the responses guys. It's appreciated. So, I didn't replace or turn the rotors as I was told they were in good condition and it wasn't necessary. But if it comes down to it, I definitely could. I did clean and lube the caliper slide pins, but that was all, so maybe the maybe I need...

    Brake squeal after changing pads

So I changed my brake pads on my '98 a week and a half ago, and after a couole days they started squealing pretty bad. I hoped it might work itself out, (like they just needed to be broken in), but no luck. They stop fine, and there's no noise when I hit the brakes going fast, it only...

Coating Rear Cargo Area with Bed Liner 94 XLT

Thanks for the quick response. I'll have to do some research on the back seats as I need them to stay in as they keep it all one level. The vinyl might not be a bad idea, maybe even getting a large enough peice to cover it all in vinyl, secure that down, and then bed liner over all of it. Sounds...

Plasti-Dipped My Fading Front Grill (w/pics)

Thanks Djdom, that looks nice on your truck. That is actually part of my next my next "fun" project on the car. I already did the wiper arms, but next are the front and rear bumpers, cowels, B pillars, roof racks, and a couple other little fades trim pieces around the car. Slowly, but surely.

Plasti-Dipped My Fading Front Grill (w/pics)

So, I plasti-dipped my front grill a couple weeks ago and finally got around to posting about it. It looked absolutely terrible as the "chrome" was chipped all over the place and the center plastic piece was so faded and worn it was ridiculous. I debated just painting it, but I figured I'd try...

Coating Rear Cargo Area with Bed Liner 94 XLT

This is an excellent idea, wish I would have found this thread earlier. I use my ex for my mobile detailing business and the seats are folded down permanently and it's full with my tools. This would help keep everything more stable, but I'd love to find a way to extend the "bed liner" to the...

Steering Wheel Vibration after Replacing Brakes

Just reporting back after driving it for a few days. No more signs of the vibration, so it must have just been air in the system. New lesson learned: don't turn the wheels a bunch without the truck running. Thanks to everyone for your help!

    IAC Valve cleaner

Okay, I want to clean my IAC Valve as I've got a little bit of a rough idle, and just because I'm sure it hasn't been done in a while. I've looked online and seen everything recommended from electrical parts cleaner, throttle body cleaner, carb cleaner, brake cleaner, mass air flow cleaner and...

Steering Wheel Vibration after Replacing Brakes

My guess on the connection between the two previous instances and this new one: I can't confirm, but I'm guessing when I "ran out of gas" I must have turned at some point before getting on level ground and restarting. Therefore, I was turning the steering wheel without the engine running and...

Do these Service/Repair Prices from the Dealership sound good?

I can't tell you about prices and whether they're ligit or not, but I have read a lot on here about people solving a rough idle issue by cleaning the MAF sensor and the IAC valve. Both seem pretty easy (I gotta do them myself), and I'd probably at least try that out as a couple cans of cleaner...

Steering Wheel Vibration after Replacing Brakes

The problem wasn't persistent, or even random before though. It only happened twice and both times were after the truck thought it was empty on gas, but after shutting it off and restarting, both times the vibration left and never returned. I haven't had to refill the PS at all and it's still...

Steering Wheel Vibration after Replacing Brakes

So I took it out and cranked the wheel all the way both ways while inching along in a parking lot, and I think it got most of the air out. I took it out on the freeway and didn't feel any vibration until I was going almost 75 AND the road got a little rough. Maybe, it's slowly working the air...

Steering Wheel Vibration after Replacing Brakes

Both wheels still have their weights on, I checked that. Could it be the rotors if there is absolutely no vibration when braking, only when getting up to a certain speed? And if the rotors are warped, would you be able to tell from looking at them (there are no grooves at all, or any discoloration).

Steering Wheel Vibration after Replacing Brakes

Thanks for that info. I hope that's the case and it's that easy if a fix. I'll do that when I go to work today and report back if it solved my problem.
