    New project

31.5" will fit. Depending offset on wheels. Will need to tuck back fender liners with zipties I ran 265/65-18's on stock wheels with 1" wheel spacers to clear upper balljoint. Fit perfect Currently run 275/70-18's (33") with the 2.5" traxxx lift.

    Sway bar links with lift

Here is what i found. 2000-2002 ford taurus rear swaybar links are about 1/2" longer and fit perfect. The angle the bushings sit on the bar eyes is managable. The moog links i got were solid one piece. Not the bolt and sleeve style. Moog #K3124.

    Sway bar links with lift

I've got the 2.5" lift spacers on my 06 and replacing the front sway bar links on the front is getting old. I seem to have to replace them every year now. The link bushings get hammered and no longer clamp to the bar or the lower arms. Are there longer links that can be used? F150 maybe? The...

33" tall tires on forth Gen.

OK who's running 33's? I picked up a set of 275/70-18's on the weekend and will be installing them soon. Just wondering who all is in this category/club? I have the 2.5" lift already and custom spacers out back to level it all out. Going to run the stock 18" limited wheels and keep the 1"...

    Spacers under strut springs

This was done on the rear struts. So there is no upper arm of issue. It did make the unloaded ride a bit harsh. The 1.25" spacer did give me about 2" at the wheel. I hooked the trailer up to move it for an upcoming trip this weekend. With the hitch loaded one link tighter it did seem to sit...

    Spacers under strut springs

I tack welded the spacer so it wouldnt move around. There is a sleave that goes around the shock body so the spacer itself wont contact.

    Front brake upgrade

Those knuckles look a little short. as it is the stock explorer upper ball joint mount is sketchy, could be about 1.5" taller. Why not look at F150 knuckles? 13" vs 12" dia isn't a HUGE upgrade in my opinion. Going drilled and sloted with carbon ceramic pads made a huge difference on my truck...

    Spacers under strut springs

Got the spacers installed last night. Spacers were 1.25" and loaded the springs the right amount and now sit approx. 2" higher out back. I don't think the Rancho Quick struts will help as they are only for about 1"-1.5" of lift at the wheel. I needed more than that. Going camping this weekend...

    Front brake upgrade

    I got these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FULL-KIT-PLATINUM-HART-DRILLED-SLOT-BRAKE-ROTORS-AND-CERAMIC-PAD-PHCC-6513202-/121898113065?fits=Year%3A2006%7CMake%3AFord%7CModel%3AExplorer%7CSubmodel%3ALimited%7CEngine+-+Liter_Display%3A4.6L&hash=item1c61b19829:g:hHwAAOSwaB5XpRyq&vxp=mtr

    Spacers under strut springs

My truck already has the Tuxxx spacers so don't need to tell me about that. What I am thinking is adding a spacer under the coil at the lower coil seat on the strut. I have aftermarket struts that have an isolator cup for the bottom of spring. This is a removable part and the seat on the strut...

What spacers on stock wheels are you running with the Traxda/Truxxx lift?

I'm running 1" on the front only. Been thinking about going 1.25 on front and putting the 1" out back. I did try 2" all round and it looked too goofy being that wide.

    2006 Rear towing coils

Recently bought a 25 ft Jayco travel trailer and got a Blue OX equalizer hitch but the rear sags quite a bit. Wonder if there are any HD coils that will help with towing. I know my coils are not new any more, but if I'm going to replace them I want something a bit stiffer. I've read a lot on...

    2006 Mercury Mountaineer Gas fumes

I've been having the same issue with mine and I believe it may be due to the catalytic converters being plugged and not working as they should. Mine had an exhaust leak for some time before I had it fixed and with the introduction of air the converters didn't heat up as they should. With this...

    Prerunner light bar

It's mounted to the steel bumper structure. Because of the cantilever on the bar it does wobble and vibrate some. May need to make some additional supports to make it a bit more rigid. Still have to hook up the lights. Been thinking of tapping off the factory fog lights and running a relay setup.

    2008 V8 Gibson 3" Exhaust

I got mine installed and was a little disappointed that I had to cut some of the front tube inorder to get the rear axle clearance. When it's supposed to be a bolt on kit I kinda expect that. Overall I like it. as the muffler breaks in it's getting a bit quieter. The wife doesn't like the...

    Prerunner light bar

Finally making progress on this. Got the mounting brackets all figured out and will have them installed later today. Then I can start on the rest of the tube work. Picked up three cheap 7" lights that will go between the grill. if I like the look I'll upgrade to some 7" HID's.

    Prerunner light bar

Not digging the look of the bull bars. Anyone know if there is a company that sells the prerunner light bars similar to what N-Fab sells? Been searching online with no luck. If it comes down to it I'll make my own.:salute:
