just bought a jeep, anyone know where we can download the manual!?

Try http://www.jeepslimited.com/ You will have to join (free) and be approved to be able to access the downloads they have. There's also a list of documents they are looking for. I've downloaded tons of factory service manuals, an owner's manual, and parts lists for all three of my Grand...

    Totaled.....

That stinks that you got hit like that. That's what happened to my old Explorer, 'Money Pit'. A guy ran a red light going 60 mph and broadsided me. Hope you can get it all straightened out with the insurance company. ampAlex, Those rims look like Cragar Soft 8 rims. I got some for my Grand...

All Tire Rack questions answered here

TireRackAffiliate, Never mind about the two Mustangs I asked about a few posts back on Feb 19. I purchased some Kumho Ecsta ASX tires locally on recommendations from some members of the local Mustang club. Very good tire. Thanks, anyway.

All Tire Rack questions answered here

Hey, Mike. Great of you to participate on the site. Can you please tell me what tire(s) you would recommend for these two vehicles? Vehicle 1: 1998 Mustang GT Convertible with 225/55/16 tires on factory Pony Waffle wheels Vehicle 2: 1994 Mustang GT Convertible with 225/55/16 tires on...

    ill light it on fire!!

Have you had any really wet weather? I had a problem like what you describe on one of my Chrysler Sebring convertibles last year and it turned out to be water trapped inside of the passenger door's door lock switch that had gotten there from too much door-open time during downpours. Try blowing...

    wheel spacers

greger, the spacers in your picture are "lug centric" which essentially means that the lug studs both align the spacer and the wheel and also carry the weight. Here's a link to a page with a pic of a couple of different types of "hub centric" spacers...

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

I hear ya, man. Sometimes it's just easier to rip it all out and start from scratch.

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

Cool. Good luck with it. Hope it all works out like you want it to. It can be tough being without tunes and having to listen to yourself sing (well, if you sing as badly as I do).

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier. Magicland and greger, who don't you try sending a PM to forum member COBRAJEFF. He works for Ford Audio and knows the ins-and-outs of all of the different systems in the Explorers. He was very helpful a couple of years ago making sure everything...

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

It won't fit all Explorers - only some of those that have an external am for the four speakers. I'm pretty sure that whatever year the Explorer went to the double-din HU (might have been '99?) is the year that that amp was internal to the HU, not external. It does work with some Explorers and...

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

Magicland, Look in THIS THREAD at the wiring harness and amp bypass connectors I'm GIVING AWAY and see if it's what you need. It fits a couple of years of Mustangs (w/o Mach stereo) and a few years of some Explorers, Expeditions and Navigators with Premium/JBL. The amp bypass harness portion...

    Speaker Sizes and Adapters

CPL DOZIER, I, too, have used Mike's Speaker Adapters on many vehicles. I first tried some a few years ago when he posted about them a few times in the audio section of this site and have used them ever since. He was the only place who could deliver on some of those weird adapters for some...

Can I remove the factory crossbars? (roof Rack)

You will be OK to remove the front crossbar; you will not leave any holes. I've had the crossbars removed on my '94 for several years. (I took them off to paint them and I liked the cleaner look without them, so I left them off.) The threaded holes that the four machine screws (two per side)...

Black Magic Extreme 180 Electric Fan Install

I've found the delta current control fan controller to be pretty darned bulletproof. It's worked flawlessly even when I had it mounted on the front side of the core support and exposed directly to the elements - never a problem. The '68 Shelby on the homepage of the dccontrol website is...

Black Magic Extreme 180 Electric Fan Install

There is no option on it for the hookup of a manual on/off fan switch on the controller. So far, I have found that I have never needed one, too. This thing has worked flawlessly. Before I bought mine, I e-mailed Brian and asked him about that - in case I ever wanted to turn the fan on...

Black Magic Extreme 180 Electric Fan Install

I have the dccontrol fan control and it does everything it says it'll do and works just like it's supposed to. It's been very reliable. With the controller, I also have the lamp that changes from green (no-to-very low current draw) to amber (low draw) to red (50% or more draw) and the adjustable...

This CHALK TEST post put up by Gerald about six years ago has served me well on many vehicles for determining a good pressure to run. Might be helpful to some of you, too.

    Bg44

No idea other than the reason it might have been noticeably helpful in my wife's car is that her car is almost exclusively used for puttering around in town and seldom sees the highway. You use the BP/Amoco fuels, too, huh. All of my relatives who work for BP thank you. :) (Not the ONLY...
