I went with a mega squirt system and a custom harness. 46# injectors ported head ported intake and I have lots of other mods.

I recently bought someone elses project and am in need of some help. It is an 03 3.0l ranger that has an 88 turbo coupe motor and trans. Where do i start with the ecu issue? 88 tc ecu or ranger 2.3 ecu? Use with a megasquirt? Not sure where to start or what one would work best.

I have another set of brackets off of a sport. If the hole needs to be smaller for the spindle i could put a bushing in the hole to make it smaller (if needed).

So being a favricator i could weld a bushing in the 01 mount couldnt i?

I just bought a 2000 mountainer for the wife and it needs front pads and rotors. I have a good set from my 01 sport from when i put on slotted rotors. Will they fit? Autozone says different part numbers but since i have extra mounts and calupers can i do the swap?

That's what I was unsure about. I wasn't sure if they ever made a two-door 5.0. I was pretty sure that they never made any other combination that would be easier to convert

I do have an 01 sport, but i want a 5.0l 5 speed with an 01-03 sport body. Im not sure whatthe easiest way to accomplish that is. I do have a donor sport with a good front clip. If it would be easier to start with a 5.0 explorer or a 5 speed explorer or to convert a sport

Yes its the ignition wire. I guess i just dont know the best and easiest place to splice into it.

I ran new wires from the battery to the alternator and got it to turn on and charge. Will that draw enough to drain the battery if i fuse it to the battery or do i have to run it to the fuse box so its controled by the ignition?

Yes this what my thoughts were too. Are both wires in the plug suppose to have + voltage when the vehicle is running?

I will redo all of the grounds tonight or tomorrow (weather permitting) and see if that works. I "assumed " that since i could pull a reading off of the alternator housing with the multimeter that it was grounded good.

I have no voltage coming out of the post of alternator (to megafuse and battery) the alternator plug has battery voltage coming out on both wires.

I took apart what everybody says is a mega fuse and it's just two connections with a chunk of metal bolting them together. There is no way that could be bad if they are joined together with a piece of metal. The 30 amp fuse inside is also good and we took the battery out of my other ex as well...

Well so much for that one. I had my friend crank it over while i was listening and it popped real loud and now I have oil everywhere. I'm guessing it was the head gasket and the timing had slipped on it. I don't know if that caused the motor to blow or if I can rebuild it only time will tell...

Yes. I have fuel pressure at the motor too. It wont fire with starting fluid either. Makes me think its spark related

Do these have a cam sensor that could cause it? Or can the security do it? With both keys doing the same thing, that eliminates them but how do i check the rest of it?
