not an X, but an H2 gets 'stumped'....LOL

When you have someone trying to defend the H2-soccer momobile its hardly surprsing to get some anger/laughter!! I'd stay with the H1 - Wider, longer and more sturdy. (Looked better too)

    Leaking differential

Thanks for the reply Joe Fast. It appears to be coming from the bottom of the center - I'll give it a try (I dont live too far from the dealer if I get into trouble). I want to get it fixed before Saturday - we're going down to the local Hummer test track to see how much we can complete before...

new to offroading in a explorer

I understand, I read a lot of postings on various threads here and 99.999% is extremely useful - I have really learned a lot already from you guys. I didn't mean to speak out of turn, but just find it difficult to believe anyone dissing the X on and X enthusiasts page! Next time, I'll keep...

new to offroading in a explorer

I love this thread. I liked the comment about the baseball bat and the IQ test ASPENX, that made me smile. In the meantime, 2ndlifeexplorer, stick around, I love the humour. GO THE X ENTHUSIASTS :) If I was as stupid as 2ndlifeexplorer I'd spend several thousand bucks on one of the best...

    Leaking differential

After cleaning up after this weekends off-roading I noticed what looks to be like oil leaking from front diff. Not being a mechanic - is this something that I should take into the shop or is there something I can do myself? At this point its only leaking a little - overnite about 1inch...

new to offroading in a explorer

Calm down you guys!! Whats all the fuss?? We all drive X's and I think that we are all in agreement that its a fine quality vehicle both on the road and off. Drivers are the main cause of nearly all road accidents, whether its a rollover, or any other type of accident. I chose an Explorer...

Proud new XLT owner/short Explorer story

Thanx Sandy, I'll take a look. We had a bit of fun yesterday evening. There is a Hummer dealership not far from where I live and we took the X through their test track!! They were very surprised that we made it through with no problems :-) and they will increase the difficulty of the track...

    Newbie from England

Hi In The Sticks and Bulldog!! I'm yet another fellow Brit (although ex-pat) and drive mine with the steering wheel on the 'other side'. It doesnt make that much differnce really off-road, most of the time, my head is out of the window, spotting front and rear tire positions. haha. Have a...

Proud new XLT owner/short Explorer story

Yet another proud Explorer owner I have recently bought an unconverted 1997 5 liter V8 XLT and am very happy after my first 2 weeks of on/off roading in a very comfortable and extremely capable vehicle. The car is 2-tone black/silver and belonged to the Slovak Ambassador to Germany, who never...
