I fixed it, just took the plastic off and lubed the actuator and locking peices. The actuator needed a little proding to get it moving again, like it was jammed but it works, seems these things need a little love once in a while. Lubricating the lock also loosened the back handle that was...
I don't mean to hijack this thread, I just came across a similar problem and this is what I found in my search. My tailgate will not lock. Not with the fob, buttons or keys. So when my car is locked, the gate will still open and set off the alarm. I need to get this fixed ASAP because I am...
Have you pulled the code to find out which sensor needs to be replaced? There are a few and it isn't too hard to replace, just find out which one first.
My wife and I are over 25 and obviously are married and have a great insurance company called Bear River. Our insurance in only about $65/mo full coverage on both vehicles. You have to sign a contract saying you are a non-smoker non-drinker to get their rates, and they pretty much kick you off...
I love mine, it's an awd v8, only minor things so far...I replaced an O2 sensor, and plugged in some wires that were messed up for the rear door and mirrors. I'm waiting on a new multiswitch to show up tomorrow.
I think I need to replace a CV joint, and my leafs are sagging about an inch lower...
Which joint would it most likely be? I am pretty new to working on AWD and have never worked with CV joints, U joints and everything. I am pretty capable and can figure most things out, but need to know where to start, and if there is a DIY link that would rock!
I've had an '03 WRX for 2 and 1/2 years, before everybody wanted them. Around here anyway, and I love it!!! AWD, excellent gas mileage on the highway. The best part; only $400 in mods (downpipe + stage 2 programming) and 0-60 is down to 5 seconds. Bug eyes rule! 0--0
My other vehicle is a...
I guess he only subscribed for back then, anyone else have any ideas?
It sounds like a rock in an aluminum can, but only at a slow roll, like when I go through a drive through, or rolling out of my garage. It is gone as soon as I accelerate.
Bumpity bumpity.
Did you every get this replaced? I have a similar clicking in the front end, but I am new to working on four wheel drive stuff. My clicking is just at a roll and seems to be more like a click every half rotation of the wheel. Goes away by 10 mph. Any ideas?
They are trying to make not wearing your seat belt a primary offense rather than a secondary offense around here. I am not sure this is great as people do have their agency. If it were made a primary offense I would be much better about keeping mine on.
Yes, my mirrors did not work when I bought my truck.(used) Turns out they weren't pluged into the switch. Pop your door panel off and look before you go buyin' anything.
It will vary at a consistent rate. I think it is at about 5% with 31's over stock, but I too am wondering how to fix the speedo.
What gear do you get and where does it go?
It does not matter. Negative is usually easier, and if you don't want to wait 20 minutes just hit the brakes a few times to make sure there is no power in the system.
I have the same code in my '98 5.0 and have bought the sensor. My question is; is the sensor closest to the manifold the one just before the Cat, or is there one that i am missing, i noticed there is a sensor in the manifold, but I didn't think that was an O2 sensor.
I have a few questions, searched and was unable to find my answers so here goes.
I bought my Ex two months ago, I love it. It is a '98 5.0 w/ 85k. Now that I have had it a while the little things are getting to me, so here goes.
1. Over Christmas parked at the airport for 4 days in...
I am having this debate now in my head. Has anyone done a test with a silverstar on one side and an extravision on the other? I just can't make up my mind which to go with. Maybe if no one can answer for sure I'll do a side by side test because my Ex and my Subaru take the same size so I can...
I bought a 98 XLT with 83,000 mi on it a couple weeks ago for my wife, the power mirrors do not work and the pump for the front washers does not respond, although the rear one does. I checked the fused and they were both intact. Is there a relay I am missing? Do the switches go bad this...
You can get a lot of different choices, the cheapest is some autolite platinums for 2 bucks a plug and the wires are around 45. If you do a search there are a lot of threads about it.
I have a growing family and winter on it's way so I broke down and found a good SUV for my wie to drive. I love the all wheel drive and the torque a V8 provides. I have gone through one tank of gas and got 14.8 mi/gal, I figure thats normal but would like to see more. I got a good deal on it...
Bump
I have the same CEL come on every couple days, it goes away after a few minutes, had it pulled by a buddy, "slow to respond, bank 1 pos 1" I think it was. What do I do to fix it?
