    2022 Explorer XLT in Snow

Your XLT AWD should handle the snow better than my RWD. Winter tires would be reccomended but not needed.

    2022 Explorer XLT in Snow

Yes. The RWD just drives with the 2 rear wheels in the first 3 gears I think and the AWD can use the front wheels to help out. It's not a true 4x4 but take it easy on the throttle and you'll do fine. I wouldn't off road in the snow however with the RWD. It's really just a glorified station wagon...

    2022 Explorer XLT in Snow

I have a 2022 base model rear wheel drive with the original Hankook tires in New Mexico and I did just fine getting up hills. Now getting it on ramps for an oil change on an ice covered driveway sucks but as for getting around I just put in slippery mode and got around town just fine on black...

    Throwing every code

A guess that I have and this is just a guess is a bad wiring harness. After 2 weeks of my 2.3l base model sitting at a dealership the "main wiring harness" was replaced which fixed an airbag light issue and the occasional PCM reset causing RPM drop and rebound to cold idle shortly after starting.

    Vehicle acting possessed, draining battery

Could be a failing body control module or rain water got somewhere it shouldnt.

    Engine Knock/Rattle - 2020 Explorer ST

That would depend on how new the new engine is. If it's a brand new from Ford engine installed by someone worth their salt then I would be ok with waiting on a new engine and keep the car. If jo bobs dick shack in BFE is going to install one he found that's only new to you then I'd give a hard pass.

    Engine Knock/Rattle - 2020 Explorer ST

Nope make a U turn and give it back. That's engine damage. If it was a lease I suspect someone never did an oil change to keep maintenance costs down since they didn't plan to keep it. But you should get rid of it. Sorry buddy.

    Bluetooth pairing but not connecting

My 17 escape would do thus every now and again. Have you done the master sync reset? That fixed the connectivity issue for me as far as pairing but not connected.

2002 Sport Trac --- How often should spark plugs be changed

I believe the manual stated 100,000 miles. I would do a plug, coil pack, and wire replacement before the trip. I take it you do a lot of highway miles to not have misfire issues yet on that miliage.

    Mysterious Charge light blinks

So far almost 2 months since issue last happened. I'm gonna consider this one fixed. Will update if something else happens or problem returns. So to reiterate a RCM was replaced with a wire harnesses for RCM resoldered and 2 airbags replaced. Case closed for now.

    Hill Start Assist Failure

It's so far been 6 weeks since my issues after a RCM replacement and the airbag saga. They said it was a recall but I can find no source for the new explorer airbag recall. But I believe any on of the control modules could be bad and disrupting the network is what I was told. I can't seem to get...

    timing belt issues

You'll need a new tensioner and tensioner tool from company 23 they're reasonably cheap. On the inside where the pulleys are they're are diamond or triangular timing notches to line up. Your 94 may or may not have a cam sensor on the oil pump pulley to line up mine doesn't and then you put the...

2020 Explorer ST will not start

Yeah I forgot that part I got caught up searching the net for a few hours.

    Hill Start Assist Failure

I get the hill start assist back if I either turn it off immediately or if I just drive for a few miles but my battery light just blinks 3 times and the idle jumps but usually a few seconds after starting when it did happen and nothing while driving. But I'm not gonna sit in my car and put it in...

    Removing Engine Using Intake Plate

Is there a mount that you can see possibly towards the bottom by the transmission housing? You may have to jack up the engine using a jack and a piece of wood to get it high enough to chain at the proper mount. I've done it with a Honda before. It had a mount on the bottom of the block. But make...

    Removing Engine Using Intake Plate

I honestly wouldn't but I've been wrong before.

    Hill Start Assist Failure

Also conner how did they recreate the issue? What ive done is use the fordpass start after the cars been sitting for a few days and in between limiting trips in and out of the car between drives. I always wondered if it was a state of charge issue.

    Hill Start Assist Failure

I only had the problem once after the 2 week trip to the dealership. It's been 6 weeks and it only happened the day we got it back and before that it was every 2 weeks on the dot. We had 2 airbags, a restraint control module, and a wiring harness between the two replaced. Does yours do it when...

Hey stupid thought here...hownmuch gas in in the tank and if you're on an incline facing down does that make your issue happen more often?

2020 Explorer ST will not start

Hey at least you got a rental I got to ride in the trunk of my 17 escape as I got 4 kids to cam in the car. Has your car ever had an engine off timer concern in your ford pass ap

If it does then pull off the bottom skid plate and search around for any damaged wire harnesses and report back.

2020 Explorer ST will not start

So next time it does this open the door and close it while sitting in the car and use the remote start function. When it starts push the start button like yoy would when you use remote start normally and see if that work.

2020 Explorer ST will not start

So let's get started... how are the battery connections? Does the battery itself test good? do you have to jump it or does it just start up when you try it later? I did some digging and I've seen some with a software update issue. I've also seen where a wire harness isn't properly connected or...
