Two questions, first off who was producing the mach 1 head units in 1999. Second question, what was the output ratings to the speakers and subs from the amp? My stock sub is toast, and need to put in a replacement utilizing all of the other stock materials.

So as I have been tinkering on my 99 EB I have found both metric and SAE fasteners. Is this pretty common throughout the 2nd generation explorers?

I'll consider that, but am thinking I would prefer to rip it out if I can find more info a out the aforementioned hardrive or figure out how to wire an aux input into the harness. Not even sure the changer would work, it is full of French fries and change (former owner was a slob)

You sir are right. Seems to be where the hoses. Go, chasing a leak under the motor and wonder if I had an oil cooler. The tranny cooler lines were at loose, but I have a feeling the leak is the rear main or around there the further I crawl back.

It is under the belt System to the passenger side of the oil filter. Currently chasing lines to see what it leads to.

Can you recall any further details on either the aux or hard drive?

I'm going to have to look into the hardrive and adaptor.

So, I pulled the display power unit, see attached images. It doesn't appear as if solder bled over for me, but there is a large amount of material on the top side. Obvious problems here the cleaning trill work for? Seeing if I can salvage this power unit so I have a backup for another...

Ha yep yeah, luckily he didn't chew through any plastic, just entered in the air intake and made the nest there. The filter was packed full of fur, so I replaced the air filter and cleaned out the debris. As an update I also went to a used tire place and found a similar tire to the coopers...

Changed the air filter and look what I found.

So, two things. Found a grille, front bumper,trim set intact on another explorer for $100 if I take it off. This includes fogs. Any tricky parts of disassembly? Also the drivers side door won’t lock all the way using the fob, any common issues that will cause the lock to be sticky?
